DESCRIPTION: Rubilux Zeal coat is a Super Smooth Plastic Emulsion based on high quality durable and washable acrylic emulsion with a Rich matt finish. It is suitable for all normal interior masonry surface and ceilings and other surfaces.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Allow the newly plastered surface to mature for minimum of 3 to 4 months before starting the paint job and for repainting job. The previously painted emulsion / distemper / limecoat should be removed by scrapping off with wire brush and sand paper. The scraped surface should be cleaned and free form loose and dust particles. Apply one coat of Rubilux cement primer water base or solvent base. Allow the primer coat to dry, then fill up the dents and other surface imperfection with Rubilux acrylic wall putty, if necessary apply full putty to get uniform surface. Allow the applied putty to cure and sand with emery paper 180 to get smooth surface wipe and clean. Now apply one coat of previously used primer to eliminate patchy appearance in final coat.
APPLICATION: The surface prepared as per above is ready for finish coat of emulsion application. Normally two coats is recommended to get smooth and uniform finish. Rubilux Zeal coat is supplied as thick paint form which should be thinned with water to obtain brushing consistency. Addition of water should be in step by step process by good manual or mechanical stirring to get the best result. Normally for the first coat addition of water in emulsion in the ratio of 2:1 i.e., two parts of paint should be mixed with one part of water. Then for second coat, the addition of water can be reduced to certain extent to obtain the smooth and uniform surface. In the application of second coat , maintain the recoat interval between the two coats to allow the surface to dry to get the smooth finish.
