ZINC PHOSPHATE PRIMER PD A157
Rockfort Zinc Phosphate Primer is a single pack air drying anticorrosive primer based on synthetic alkyd resin pigmented with Zinc phosphate as anticorrosive pigment. This quick drying anticorrosive primer has good hardness on steel, Aluminium and G.I. etc., It gives very good anticorrosive properties when applied in two coats. It meets the performance requirements of Indian standard specification IS 12744. It can be top coated with synthetic finishes or with intermediates based on alkyd resin.
TECHNICAL DATA:-

Drying time : Surface dry 30 minutes
Hard dry Over night
Recoating : After 12 hours finish coat can be applied, normally no sanding required but light scuffing to remove surface dust.
Coverage : By brush : 14 to 17 m2 per Ltr per coat
By spray : 11 to 14 m2 per Ltr per coat
SURFACE PREPARAION:-
For hot rolled mild steel sheet mild abrasion to remove rust, mile scale etc., Surface can be treated with appropriate pretreatment chemical to give corrosion resistance surface. Solvent wipe or detergent solution wipe can be used to remove greese, oil and etc., Same treatment can be followed for Aluminium alloys, Galanised iron.
APPLICATION METHODS, DETAILS, CONDITION:-
Rockfort Zinc Phosphate Primer is supplied in a uniform consistency suitable for application by brushing without appreciable drag on the brush, it can also be sprayed by thinning with Rockfort enamel thinner ET- 101 upto 20% . Dry film thickness of 20 to 25 microns is indicated film thickness to give an proper adhesion and corrosion inhibition.

Renova R.O.M. Primer is two-pack polyamide cured epoxy primer pigmented with Iron oxide pigment to give good anticorrosive properties. Its key physical characteristics are

ANTI CORROSIVE BLACK
Fortlite Anticorrosive Black is a solvent borne bitumen coating which provides a economical and excellent waterproof, weather proof and corrosion resistant protective coating against severe corrosive conditions. It can be easily applied by brush or spray and dries to give a hard semi glossy film resistant to low concentrations of alkalies and acid.
USES: This high efficient protective coating can be used on a wide range of building materials iron, steel, timber and including concrete. It is also suitable for application on storage tanks, pipeline work, corrugated iron sheets, concrete post fencing and etc., It can also be used on the interiors of cold water tanks, pipes and also on car, van vehicle chasis work.

SURFACE PREPARATION: For Metal Surface Clear to remove oil, grease and other contaminates. If any preliminary rust particles are present use appropriate pretreatment chemical to remove, loose rust particles. If needed a Rockfort Zinc Chromate Primer Red or Yellow can be used to give good corrosion resistant properties.
APPLICATION DETAILS, METHODS:
Thinner: Fortlite Anti Corrosive Black is supplied in smooth and good consistency suitable for brushing. If needed Rockfort enamel thinner ET-101 or any other Genuine Turpentine can be used for thinning.
